Reflections on Going Through My Steam Library

If you look at the posts just before this one, I've been going through my Steam library to purge the games I no longer want to have. Each unplayed or done-played game is a psychic weight on my mind every time I looked at my library. I would rather have a few excellent games than a mass of many.

I like how manageable my game collection is now. I even got rid of three more (Faceminer, (the) Gnorp Apologue, Sixty Four) after going through the list again.

33 games is still a lot of games, and some of these may only be good for a single replay before they go away. We'll see how it goes as I replay them over time.

Anything that leads to shedding, not accumulating, is in line with the instructions of the Buddha. I've been a minimalist for much of my life at this point, but I noticed my digital life and gaming life had become quite complicated. Getting a Bear Blog and eliminating most social media has helped a lot, but I still have a lot to unearth and discard. Years of files and accounts build up after so many years online.

This was an excellent exercise. Now to think of the next project to share with the rest of the small web!
