Going Through My Steam Library: Part 3

Onward we continue going through my Steam library to reflect on and purge away the games I have in my library. I've switched things up a bit though this time. I'm now going by last-played order and saving the ones I haven't played yet.

Part 2 and Part 1 are here.

CLeM

Point and click adventure. I recall it being enjoyable but I have not picked it up since April 2024 and I got all of the achievements. No need to have it cluttering up my library then.

Install Fee Tycoon

An incremental game. A long one. I put 46 hours into it, though with incrementals that can involve a lot of letting it run overnight. I completed it, but I don't see a reason to keep it now. Also haven't played since April 2024.

Season of Mystery: The Cherry Blossom Murders

Bugged in Linux. Easy purge. I think I was holding onto it in case the developer decided to fix the problem, but there's been no change. Last played April 2024.

A Castle Full of Cats

Cute, for what it's worth. A hidden object game. I haven't touched it since April 2024 and played 75 minutes of time. Purged.

Final Fantasy 1

A not-so-easy one. I'm old enough to have played this when it came out on the original NES, so there is a lot of nostalgia here. That said, I'm putting it into tentative because the genre is predicated on "do violence across the land without consequences because you've got main character energy." Also, you beat the crap out of a bunch of pirates to hijack their ship just because you need it.

Sixty-Four

A fun little puzzle/base-building/idler game that gets really weird toward the end. Last played May 2024 and I see they've revamped the endgame. I'll put it in the keep collection for now.

Slash It 2

A typing rhythm game. The last time I did a typing game (Epistory), I really hurt my hands trying to keep up. And for whatever reason, I've only played it two minutes in all this time. Purge.

Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster

These aren't bad games, but I'm reflecting on what I would have to go through to get through them again and I feel ill. I've never 100% the first one because by the time I'm doing things for the Monster Arena I want nothing to do with the game anymore. X-2 has it's own problems with 100%. Worst case of Guide Dang It I've ever seen in a video game. Haven't touched it since June 2024. Time to let it go.

Zzzz Zzzz Zzzz

A weird short game about dreams. Free now. Haven't touched in years. Gone.

Terra Nill (Heatwave)

The Heatwave expansion is new to me, and unlike most strategy games, the goal of Terra Nill is to fix and rebalance an ecosystem rather than resource extraction and ecological destruction. I recall I completed the first biome and then got bored thinking about what I wuld have to do to fix the others and upt it aside.

I don't recall it being bad, but just not to my taste. I think I will put it into tentative so I can give it one more go, just because having a positive game in this genre is such a rarity.
